Today we journey deep into Wappingers Falls in search of some delicious dumpling to satisfy our craving. Me being Asian and having tasted some of the cheapest and best dumpling around like Vanessa' Dumpling House, Prosperity Dumplings, and Tasty Dumpling in Chinatown. I certainly can separated a good dumpling house from a bad one. We wandered into this hole in the wall when we saw the 5 star rating on Yelps. Everyone that had reviewed this places had a good story to tell from how friendly the servers were to how amazing the dumpling and noodles were. My first impression walking in to this restaurant was boy was i hungry. We got seated next to the window and while i was looking through the menu. I was surprise that they had bubble tea (tea with tapioca pearl), which i ordered without any hesitate. I'm a big fan of the cheap 4 or 5 piece of fried pork & chives dumpling i get in Chinatown. So i ordered a order of that which were 6.99 for a dozen and a wonton soup on the side. I was looking around the table while we waited for our food. I was surprise at the 4 different type of sauces that were available, which were sweet dumpling sauces, soy sauce, chili sauce, and a dumpling sauces. I'm just so use to using just dumpling sauces with thai Sriracha sauce that i didn't know what to expect from these dipping.
The food came and i was excited to try them, the first up were the steam pork & chive dumpling. I tried one and it tasted amazing. I put some sweet dumpling sauce on them and took another bite and tried the rest of the sauce. The dumpling were amazing, however when i put all four of the dipping sauce together it amplified my taste bud. I had sweet, tangy, a little spiciness, and a little saltiness from the soy sauce. The taste of it on the dumpling was just out of this world. The wonton soup came out last, the broth tasted exactly like the one i had at Vanessa' Dumpling House. It was just flavorful and amazing.
Rating: 5 out 5
